The Seshion didn’t start as a business idea. It started on Sunday mornings in Richmond, Virginia — sometimes morning, sometimes 1pm — at the hemp school Bevon co-founded, where the industry was being built in one room while community gathered in another.
There was a basement with windows that looked out over hemp plants in full flower. There were two different parks after the school chapter ended. There was a friend’s backyard, where a sound bowl was always present — its vibrations settling the room before a single word was spoken.
That was The Seshion Method™, years before it had a name. A recurring, intentional gathering around the plant. A set ritual. Sound. Community showing up, consistently. Not a session — a Seshion.
KanehRoots is that ritual, grown up. From Richmond living rooms and park benches to a dedicated Caribbean cannabis wellness coaching practice — the root of it is the same. Intentional, community-held, guided by someone who has been doing this work long before the industry had a name for it.
Where It Started
The Hemp School
Co-founded the school. Held the Seshion in the event space — the industry being built in one room while community gathered in another.
The Basement
Downstairs, grow lights glowed over hemp plants in full flower. The room smelled like what we were talking about.
The Parks
After leaving the school, the Seshion moved outside — two different parks, open sky, same intention.
The Backyard
A friend's backyard. A sound bowl always present, its vibrations settling the room before a single word was spoken.
